The height of summer in Munich. Early in the morning, widowed pensioner Gerd goes out to collect the leftovers of people working, swimming and partying in the city: Deposit bottles. The city on the Isar is aglow ... But after a number of encounters, Gerd asks himself the question: did no one but him listen to the news on the radio this morning?
